The fob still works, believe it or not, but the chip in the key is destroyed.

W e bought Targa a $45 collar that she chewed up in a similar fashion. It wouldn’t buckle anymore.

It was nice for 1 week

For the fob I think there are aftermarket cases. Don’t know for the key but for GM cars they were pretty cheap on eBay ($10-20) and we can program that ourselves if we have another working key.

Could be worse, could be working it's way along the dog's alimentary canal. Lol

My dog got two of her harnesses that way (I eventually learned to put them away properly). She also got my cycling shoes, and the zipper on her carrier.

Our young pup is still fully in the chewing stage. An early victim was the dining table. My wife was threatening the death penalty when that happened.

That’s eBay aftermarket cheapo stuff, but I still need my pal at the shop to use his electronic gizmo to get the car to recognize the key and or the fob.

I’d thought of that. Or it could be one of those stupid expensive keys and fobs... Some of that crap is no joke. Fortunately, I drive ( a) cheap car(s) with (relatively) cheap accessories.

You do realize how cats spread toxoplasmosis to humans, right?

Cheapo aftermarket. But still, $30 right there plus a trip to my friend’s shop to get it programmed. Damn dog.

This came from eBay. Cheapo, but with the key and the fob and getting the key cut, about $30, plus a visit to a friend’s shop to get it programmed, which costs me breakfast ...

We’ve got a private trainer lined up. I need to text him to find out when he’s going to start.

I took one of my dogs to puppy class and it worked out well. Now that I’m trained, I know how to teach a pup the basics. The worst part for us is our older dog. She’s reverted to bad behavior now that there’s a young dog in the house. Her biggest sin is stealing food. We used to be able to leave things on the counter, but now nothing is safe, even bread still in the wrapper. She snagged and ate a whole loaf a couple of weeks ago! Funny thing is that the pup isn’t the one doing it, even though he’s just as tall as she is.

We had to stop leaving out bread in the plastic bag because the CAT would get into it. Luckily, he hasn’t figured out how to open doors. Otherwise, the whole house might need childproof closures on stuff.

Yeah from contact with feces from an infected cat.  My cats are lifetime inside cats.  Ok maybe not all dogs eat poo but something tells me there are more dogs that eat shit than infected cats.
